Job summary

Weber State University in Ogden, UT is seeking tutors for the Academic Tutoring program at the Ogden Learning Center. Tutors work 7–20 hours per week and earn $14.50 per hour, with options for advancement through three certification levels and the Lead Tutor role.

Applicants must be WSU students, have a B or better in the subjects tutored, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and complete Levels I & II CRLA training. Availability and chosen subjects are indicated in the application; roles can include Teaching

Qualifications

• Must be a WSU student.
• Must have earned a B or better in the courses you propose to tutor.
• Strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring.
• Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
• Must participate in completing Levels I & II of tutor CRLA training.

Responsibilities

• Tutor WSU students in the subjects you propose at the Learning Center as part of the Learning Support department.
• Tutoring is conducted one-on-one and/or drop-in.
• Availability for appointments and/or drop-in hours is determined by the tutor.
• Training in tutoring techniques is provided.
• Indicate the specific subject(s) you are interested in tutoring in your application.
