The position requires an associate degree or COD certificate, strong English communication, and comfort with online tools like Zoom. Fixed hours up to 25 per week, with evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and/or COD CTE certificate required.
• COD degree preferred.
• Experience tutoring or providing academic assistance to college or high school level students required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in spoken and written English required.
• Experience with online interactive technology (i.e. Zoom) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide course-based academic assistance to students in courses where tutor has subject-matter proficiency.
• Provide tutoring in person and online, one-on-one, and in group session formats.
• Maintain current and relevant knowledge in subject areas and general study skills.
• Serve as a resource to other academic assistants and peer tutors.
• Conduct workshops, class visits, and Strategic Success sessions for students as requested by the supervisor.
• Keep current on resources to compile or make recommendations for same.
• Perform electronic and paper record-keeping tasks including recording visit notes and timekeeping.
