Job summary

City Year in Getzville, NY is seeking an Academic Tutor and Mentor to provide academic support in a partner school. You will lead small-group tutoring and one-on-one mentoring to help students stay on track.

You will collaborate with AmeriCorps members and school staff to deliver interventions in core subjects and support social-emotional development, along with classroom and after-school programming. Training and professional development are provided, with a mission-driven, inclusive culture

Job description

As an Academic Tutor and Mentor with City Year in the Educational Services industry, you will serve full-time in a partner school, providing academic support, small-group tutoring, and one-on-one mentoring to help students stay on track. Working within the Education, Training & E-Learning department, you’ll collaborate with a diverse team of AmeriCorps members and school staff to deliver interventions in core subjects, support social-emotional development, and assist with classroom and after-school programming.
