Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Health in Temple, TX seeks an academic BC/BE Thoracic Surgeon to join the Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. The surgeon will cover non‑cardiac adult thoracic procedures, contribute to disease‑based programs with Oncology and Pulmonary Medicine, and expand general thoracic services while maintaining high care standards.

Qualifications

• Residency or Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Experience in an academic setting is preferred.
• 5+ years of post‑training experience preferred, but exceptions possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide full spectrum of non‑cardiac adult thoracic surgical services.
• Contribute to growth of disease‑based programs with Oncology and Pulmonary Medicine.
• Academic appointment and active research participation.
• Support teaching and mentoring within the division.
