Banner University Medical Group is interviewing Thoracic Surgeons to join a fully staffed, multidisciplinary academic surgery team at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix. The role emphasizes clinical service, resident education, and potential lung transplant activity with research opportunities.

The candidate should be board certified or eligible in AB Surgery and AB Thoracic Surgery, and experienced in minimally invasive and robotic techniques, in an academic setting committed to teaching

Qualifications

• American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery certified or eligible.
• Desire to teach residents, fellows and students in an academic setting.
• Experience in general thoracic surgery including lung transplant (optional).
• Experience with minimally invasive and robotic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop a full‑time general thoracic surgery practice (lung transplant optional).
• Educate residents and medical students.
• Participate in clinical and/or basic science research.
• Receive a faculty appointment commensurate with credentials.
