Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Health in Temple, TX seeks an academic BC/BE Thoracic Surgeon to join the Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. The candidate will cover non-cardiac adult thoracic surgery and collaborate with Oncology and Pulmonary Medicine while expanding the program’s scope.

The ideal candidate will have thoracic residency/fellowship training and a track record in teaching. A research-active environment and competitive compensation with relocation support are provided.

Qualifications

• Residency or Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Board certification or equivalent by the American Board of Medical Specialists or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists.
• Experience in an academic setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide the full spectrum of non-cardiac adult thoracic surgical services.
• Contribute to growth and development of disease-based programs in partnership with Oncology and Pulmonary Medicine.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring within an academic division.
