Job summary

Banner Health seeks a Thoracic Surgeon to join Banner University Medical Center Phoenix as a Clinical Faculty member. The role includes building a full-time general thoracic practice, teaching residents and medical students, and potential involvement in clinical or basic science research.

Lung transplant may be included; a faculty appointment will be offered commensurate with credentials. The ideal candidate is board-certified/eligible in thoracic surgery, with 2+ years of experience, and

Qualifications

• American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery certified or eligible.
• 2+ years of experience required.
• Academic and teaching environment experience preferred.
• Experience in all aspects of general thoracic surgery with focus on chest wall, esophageal, lung transplantation and lung surgery.

Responsibilities

• Educate residents and medical students.
• Develop and manage a general thoracic surgery practice (lung transplant optional).
• Participate in clinical and/or basic science research.
