Banner University Medical Center Phoenix, in partnership with the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix, is recruiting thoracic surgeons to join a fully staffed clinical faculty team. The role offers a chance to build a general thoracic practice with optional lung transplant, teach residents and medical students, and pursue clinical or basic science research with a faculty appointment.

The position emphasizes scholarly activity within an established multidisciplinary environment

Qualifications

• Board certification in surgery and thoracic surgery or eligibility.
• Desire to teach residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Experience in general thoracic surgery including lung transplant.
• Experience with minimally invasive and robotic techniques.
• Clinical academic practice interest encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop a full-time general thoracic surgery practice (lung transplant optional).
• Educate residents and medical students.
• Participate in clinical and/or basic science research.
• Receive a faculty appointment commensurate with credentials.
