Job summary

CNM Central New Mexico Community College is seeking an Administrative Assistant to perform a wide variety of office support activities for the Academic Department. The role includes managing accounting tasks, preparing internal reports, supporting travel, purchasing, and recordkeeping, and assisting students and faculty as needed.

Responsibilities include handling minutes, correspondence, data collection, accreditation information, and budget monitoring.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree OR High school diploma or equivalent AND Up to two (2) years of related experience.
  • Experience with purchasing, budget tracking or other financial administrative tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and common office technology.
  • Customer service experience.

  • Coordinates department travel and organizes department catalog process when assigned.
  • Serves as backup for the reception desk and provides coverage in the absence of other staff.
  • Performs other related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
