Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking an Instructional Technologist to support faculty in using educational technologies to enhance teaching across modalities. The role blends technical expertise with pedagogical insight, partnering with the CTLE team to design accessible, student-centered learning experiences in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in instructional design and technology or closely related field.
• Experience supporting faculty or instructors in higher education or training environments.
• Experience with learning management systems and instructional technologies.

Responsibilities

• Consult with faculty to identify instructional goals and recommend technologies and strategies.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group support for faculty using the LMS and related tools.
• Assist faculty in integrating active learning, assessment, and engagement tools into courses.
• Translate pedagogical needs into practical technology-enabled solutions.
• Provide support for core instructional technologies (LMS, video platforms, engagement tools, assessment systems).
• Troubleshoot instructional technology issues in collaboration with ITS and Digital Learning.
• Pilot and evaluate emerging technologies for instructional value.
