Job summary

Northwestern Health Sciences University is seeking an Academic Technology and Services Specialist to ensure reliable operation and support of technology in classrooms, labs, and meeting spaces across campus. You will collaborate with faculty, staff, and IT colleagues to implement standards and best practices that enhance academic technology services.

The role emphasizes customer service, effective communication to both technical and non-technical audiences, and delivering innovative teaching

Qualifications

• Associates degree or two-year program in computer sciences or related field preferred.
• 0-2 years relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Fields Help Desk requests via phone, email, and walk-ins; create/update tickets.
• Diagnoses and resolves software, hardware, and networking issues for University users.
• Ensures classroom, conference room, and lab computers are updated and properly interfaced with AV.
• Communicates solutions clearly with strong customer service orientation.
• Configures, upgrades, and installs multimedia, computer hardware and software.
• Provides group or one-on-one user training as needed for events and academic technology.
• Manages and maintains classroom technology.
• Coordinates event operations with University departments for multimedia support.
• Shows initiative and keeps up-to-date with current technology.
