The University of Miami seeks an Athletics Academic Services Intern to support day-to-day operations with student-athletes. You will help develop academic skills, assist in tutoring programs, and coordinate services, while learning Navigate, ARMS, TeamWorks, and PeopleSoft.
Strong communication and ethical decision-making are essential. You will work both independently and with the academic team, with occasional evenings and weekends.
Assist with a wide variety of tasks and processes involved in the day-to-day operations of Athletic Academic Services. Our interns must be able to problem-solve and make ethical and policy-based decisions. They must have strong communication skills and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse educational, cultural, and economic backgrounds. They should be strong in their written, verbal, and listening skills and work both independently and collaboratively with the academic team. The ability to teach academic success strategies, work with students who are academically at-risk and demonstrate evidence of programming success around academic competencies is essential.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred
