Job Summary Position Summary: Student Success at ABAC is comprised of the offices of Academic Support, Accommodation & Disability Services, the Career Center, the Counseling Center, the Tutoring Center, and TRIO Student Support Services. Academic Support houses the Academic Support Counselors and the Testing Center to provide a wide range of educational and student support services and programs to more than 4,000 undergraduates at ABAC. Under the direction of the Director, the Academic Support Counselor will assist in the day-to-day operation of Academic Support and will provide direct services for ABAC’s new and continuing students from orientation to graduation. In addition to advising, the Academic Support Counselor maintains a caseload of students on academic probation and assists them with an academic success plan. The Academic Support Counselor will assist with contacting and working with students submitted through the Early Alert System and working with new students through the First-year Learning Experience (FLEX) program. Additionally, the individual in this position will oversee the Rush-to-Register campaign each Fall and Spring and assist with learning support coordination.
