Job summary

Cape Cod Community College in Massachusetts seeks an Academic Coach/Advisor for the Advantage Program to provide direct academic coaching support to students, including those with disabilities, under a grant-funded TRIO Student Support Services initiative.

You will help students develop study strategies, connect them with campus resources, and collaborate with Advantage advisors and instructors to tailor academic support; documentation is required according to grant guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in learning disabilities, education, counseling, student services, or related discipline.
• Experience providing academic coaching, advising, tutoring, or related student support services.
• Knowledge of executive functioning strategies.
• Familiarity with content management systems and/or adaptive technology.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in developing studying and learning strategies.
• Refer students to Advantage Program and campus resources to support their learning needs.
• Consult with Advantage advisors, instructors, and O'Neill Center for Student Access and Support regarding academic support for individual students.
• Document student contact per grant guidelines.
