College of Southern Nevada is seeking an Academic Advisor to guide students toward certificate or degree completion. You will assess strengths, develop success plans, and connect students to campus resources and services.

The role emphasizes advising best practices, supporting diverse learners, and coordinating with faculty and staff across campuses. A Bachelor’s degree and advising experience are required, with a Master’s preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Liberal Arts, Social Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year in an Advising related role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of FERPA and student privacy policies.
• Proficiency in MS Office and general computing/database skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide academic, personal, financial, adjustment and career advisement to a diverse student population.
• Assist with graduation audits, residency appeals, unusual enrollment, and credit overload requests.
• Deliver workshops on college success, transfer planning, and degree completion.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty and staff.
