Job summary

Tufts University’s SMFA is seeking an Academic Space Manager to lead strategic space planning for 150 studios and managed studios across two campus buildings. You will work with the Director of Administration to optimize space use, manage updates, and oversee maintenance impacting school finances.

You’ll handle daily operations for 230 The Fenway and Mission Hill, coordinate space reservations, and prepare reports for planning and project coordination with campus leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2-3 years related operations experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with databases and EMS reservation system.
• Experience with web page management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic space planning and administrative oversight for 150 studios and professional studios in two buildings; decide on space updates and maintenance affecting finances.
• Oversee daily operations and management of both SMFA buildings; flexible hours for events.
• Oversee space reservation system; liaise with occupants and users at 230 The Fenway and Mission Hill.
• Provide detailed reports to Director for planning and project coordination; manage space-related projects and renovations.
• Manage room reservations for meetings and events within SMFA spaces.
