Job summary

Tufts University is seeking a Senior Campus Planner to provide technical planning leadership across multiple capital projects. You will engage campus stakeholders to understand needs, strategize space utilization, and guide planning with a strong client-service orientation.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Planning & Design, you will collaborate with Operations, Finance, and School leadership to develop feasible solutions, manage RFQs/RFPs, and advance the university’s long-term space

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Planning.
10+ years of experience in architecture or campus planning.
Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of codes/regulations such as MAAB and ADA, zoning, and campus infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Develop planning solutions for campus spaces (learning, student, athletic, offices).
Lead pre-project planning: program development, cost estimates, code and zoning issues.
Forecast future space needs and produce data-driven reports and recommendations.
Prepare RFQs/RFPs and participate in selecting planning, architectural, and engineering firms.
Assist in developing the ten-year capital plan and coordinate with internal departments.
