El Paso Community College is seeking an Academic Resource Specialist to provide instructional support and assist in tutoring center operations on campus. This role involves scheduling and training tutors, maintaining student records, and creating promotional materials.

Provide instructional support services to the students and assist in the day-to-day operations of the Tutoring Centers. In-person work on campus is an essential function of this position.
Provide information about specialized support services and provide academic tutoring to various disciplines. Assist with various tasks to include tutor scheduling and training.
Record, track, and maintain related student records. Responsible for preparing forms and reports.
Develop promotional or marketing materials and tools and maintain mailing lists. Conduct new tutor orientation and presentations.
Provide training, guidance, and work direction to other Academic Resource Specialists and tutors within the department. Collaborate with department staff to establish goals and recommend ways to improve department services.
Perform routine assessment of student academic and support needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Copies of transcripts must reflect completed coursework and conferred degrees. All academic coursework and degrees must be from an accredited college or university or be certified by an acceptable agency that the institution is recognized by the appropriate governmental agency in its home country (this is generally stated in the degree evaluation).
Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation (word for word) by a current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Additionally, each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited coursework.
Applications containing foreign transcripts that are not accompanied with the above required documentation will not be considered.
