Job summary

Stony Brook University is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor to oversee psychiatric evaluation and management in the CPEP/ED at University Hospital. The role includes teaching and supervising medical students and residents, with a 40-hour afternoon/evening schedule (1pm–11pm) and one weekend shift per week. Cross-coverage as necessary.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign equivalent.
• New York State license or eligibility.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Adult Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric evaluation and management of patients in the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) / Emergency Department (ED).
• Teach and supervise medical students and residents in the clinical setting.

Education
