Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) invites applications for a full-time academic plastic surgeon in the Division of Plastic Surgery. The role centers on general plastic surgery with a strong emphasis on breast reconstruction and related procedures.

Fellowship training is encouraged but not required. The position includes clinical call coverage and opportunities for education, mentoring, and scholarly activity within a collegial, interdisciplinary team at UNC Chapel Hill.

Qualifications

• ACGME-accredited residency in plastic surgery.
• Board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or in the process of seeking certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide general plastic surgery services with emphasis on breast.
• Participate in call coverage for the general reconstructive surgery practice, as well as hand and/or facial trauma call.
• Engage in education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Pursue research activities in clinical outcomes, health services, education, or related areas.
