Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
  • Completion of an accredited plastic surgery residency program
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Plastic Surgery
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in North Carolina
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, education, and academic advancement
  • Interest in general reconstructive surgery; no additional fellowship training required
  • Aesthetic surgery training or interest welcomed
  • Academic rank eligibility for Assistant, Associate, or Professor

Responsibilities

  • Provide broad reconstructive surgical care across soft tissue and skin cancer reconstruction, wounds, and complex closures
  • Perform abdominal wall and trunk reconstruction and breast surgery
  • Offer hand and upper extremity coverage and participate in ED consultations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across surgery, oncology, trauma, orthopaedics, ENT, and breast surgery
  • Develop an aesthetic surgery practice with dedicated clinic and operative resources
  • Engage in resident and medical student education and contribute to research and quality improvement
