Job summary

Capital Medical Group in the Washington, DC area seeks a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon for an academic, hospital-based practice. The role includes inpatient and outpatient care, teaching medical students and residents, and active participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards and educational activities.

The physician will deliver high-quality reconstructive services, supervise clinical training, and maintain comprehensive documentation and coding practices within Epic and Cerner systems.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Successful completion of an accredited plastic surgery residency or equivalent pathway.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Plastic Surgery.
  • Current or eligible unrestricted medical license and required privileges.
  • Credentialing and ability to participate in call coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive plastic and reconstructive surgical care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for reconstructive and wound-related surgery.
  • Perform preoperative evaluations and postoperative care including follow-up.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in tumor boards and conferences.
  • Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows as part of clinical development.
  • Document thoroughly in Epic and Cerner and ensure timely charge capture.
