University of Mount Saint Vincent invites applications for a College Persistence and Learning Specialist at Seton College to strengthen academic readiness, persistence, and degree completion. You will provide high-touch learning support to Seton students and work with faculty, advising, and student-support staff to develop scalable resources and interventions.

The role emphasizes developing learning strategies, executive-functioning skills, and self-efficacy.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in education, psychology, teaching and learning, reading/literacy, higher education, counseling, or a closely related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience in teaching, academic intervention, student success, or a related area.
• Experience working with first-generation college students from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with academic interventions and workshop facilitation.

Responsabilités

• Develop scalable tools and programming to strengthen academic rigor and student support.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership to identify learning needs and interventions.
• Lead faculty workshops and professional development.
• Oversee Supplemental Instruction (SI) programs and peer leaders.
• Coordinate timely academic interventions for at-risk students.
