The Department of Surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL is seeking a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, depending on experience and academic record. Tenure/Non-tenure tracks available.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chair of Orthopedic Surgery, Michaela Schneiderbauer, MD, this is an exciting opportunity to expand and enhance an academic Orthopedic Surgery program in Illinois. This position will have privileges at Springfield Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. John’s Hospital. Duties include maintaining a medical practice, teaching students and residents, and engaging in clinical and/or basic science research.

Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Illinois. Must be fellowship trained in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery. Alternate Education path, board-eligible or board-certified in Orthopedics. Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations. This is a security-sensitive position.
