Job summary

The University of Washington Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine seeks a full-time pediatric orthopaedic surgeon specializing in pediatric hand surgery, with an academic appointment at the UW Department of Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine. Rank will be Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor under a WOT arrangement.

The role includes clinical care of hand and upper extremity conditions, plus general pediatric orthopaedic call at SCH, resident/fellow

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and board certification in orthopaedic surgery.
• Pediatric hand fellowship training (or hand fellowship with pediatric hand emphasis) is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a practice in pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery and provide general pediatric orthopaedic call.
• Educate residents and fellows; teach medical students.
• Develop a robust program in clinical education methods or basic science research.
• Collaborate with plastic surgeons, rehabilitation physicians, and occupational therapists.

Education

Pediatric hand fellowship or pediatric hand subspecialty
