Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania, in partnership with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, seeks an Associate Professor for the Pediatric Hand Surgeon role in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise in pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery is required, with an MD or equivalent degree and ABOS board certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities include clinical and didactic teaching across medical students, residents, and fellows; building a subspecialty hand surgery practice; and

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD degree required.
• Board certification by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery or eligible.
• Fellowship in hand surgery required; preference for pediatric hand surgery fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Teach clinical and didactic content to medical students, residents, fellows in hand surgery.
• Develop and grow a pediatric hand surgery practice within the department.
• Lead clinical and/or basic science investigations in hand surgery.
