Job summary

The University of Washington Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine and Seattle Children’s Hospital invite applications for a full-time pediatric orthopaedic surgeon specializing in pediatric hand surgery. This role includes an academic appointment at UW with a WOT track (Assistant/Associate/Professor) and a focus on education and clinical leadership.

The successful candidate will develop a busy hand surgery clinic, contribute to resident and fellow education, and pursue research

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required and board certified in orthopaedic surgery.
• Pediatric hand/fellowship training required (or combined pediatric hand and hand fellowship).
• Eligible for medical licensure in Washington state and visa sponsorship considerations if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develop a pediatric hand and upper-extremity practice.
• Provide general pediatric orthopaedic call at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
• Educate residents and fellows; teach medical students.
• Develop a program in clinical education, research or related areas.
• Collaborate with plastic surgeons, rehabilitation physicians and therapists.
