Job summary

Akron Children’s is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join a collaborative, academically oriented team of 12 pediatric gastroenterologists and 7 nurse practitioners. You will deliver expert clinical care for children with GI, liver, and nutritional disorders and participate in the division’s teaching and research missions.

Requirements include an MD or DO, board certification in Pediatrics with GI subspecialty, and Ohio license eligibility.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics and board eligibility/certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
• Ability to obtain an active Ohio medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding clinical care for pediatric GI patients as part of a collaborative team.
• Educate and mentor pediatric residents, medical students, and pediatric GI fellows.
• Engage in the division's academic mission through teaching, research mentorship, and scholarly activity.
