Job summary

Albany Medical College’s Department of Anesthesiology is seeking fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists at all ranks to join our team of six dedicated pediatric anesthesia faculty. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative, academically focused environment within the Capital Region's only academic medical center.

Responsibilities include perioperative care for a wide range of specialties, didactic and clinical teaching, and participation in research.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree, or equivalent
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology (required)
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the ABA, or foreign equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.
• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support for trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth.
