Job summary

Banner University Medicine in Tucson, AZ is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon to join its academic orthopaedic practice. You will provide comprehensive hand and upper-extremity care, participate in education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and collaborate with the University of Arizona for funded research opportunities.

The position offers a 1.0 FTE with a combination of clinic and surgical days, and a faculty appointment commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Hand Surgery.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Arizona.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, education, and collaborative patient care.
• Interest/experience in academic research preferred.
• NIH research funding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide elective and trauma hand and upper-extremity surgical care.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in education and research opportunities through the University of Arizona.
• Support NIH-funded research with available resources.
• Balance clinic and surgical days in a 1.0 FTE role.
