Job Summary:

The Academic Operations Coordinator is pivotal in advancing student access, success, and equity at Saint Paul College by leading the development and optimization of the master course schedule, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and student demand. This role leverages data‑informed practices and cross‑functional collaboration to enhance course availability, program efficiency, and equitable student outcomes. Key responsibilities include analyzing enrollment and student success data, coordinating schedule modifications, optimizing classroom utilization, and implementing strategic scheduling models. The coordinator also supports Academic and Student Affairs through project management, survey analysis, and reporting, contributing actionable insights for continuous improvement. By facilitating training, resolving scheduling conflicts, and developing predictive models and dashboards, this position empowers evidence‑based decision‑making and fosters a culture of data literacy and innovation across the College.

Job Duties:

  • Direct the development and maintenance of the master course schedules including room utilization.
  • Strategic Data Analysis and Decision Support for Academic and Student affairs Duties
  • Coordinate and support Academic and Student Affairs projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of project management experience or related work required. Master’s degree in Project Management, Social and Behavioral Science, Organizational Development, or related field may substitute for 18 months of experience; Bachelor’s degree for one year of experience; Associate’s degree for six months of experience
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate enrollment, student, and academic data, including the preparation of clear reports and basic data visualizations.
  • Strong technical proficiency with spreadsheet and database tools to manage, integrate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Ability to conceptualize and implement innovative approaches to information presentation and problem‑solving, viewing issues with an open mind, evaluating alternatives, and leading or supporting change initiatives when appropriate.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and practices, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse constituents, including faculty, administrators, and staff, and to collaborate productively across functional areas
  • Willingness and ability to learn and leverage artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, enhance data‑informed practices, and support continuous improvement in college processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and/ or ability to prepare schedules in collaboration with academic deans and faculty schedulers.
  • Extensive knowledge of two‑year college policies and procedures and structures sufficient to work collaboratively across the organization.
  • Thorough knowledge and demonstrated high skill level of the modern principles and practices of higher education.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of a complex instructional scheduling environment.
  • Masters degree in higher education, project management, data analytics or related area and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
