Job summary

Harvard-Affiliated Academic Healthcare System in Boston is seeking a full-time Nocturnist Physician to join our hospitalist team. The role offers competitive compensation, opportunities for teaching, and potential academic appointments.

New graduates are welcome; Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and Massachusetts licensure eligibility are encouraged. Schedule includes weekday and weekend night shifts with a daytime weekend shift; relocation assistance

• Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure.
• 2027 residency graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide nocturnist coverage for the hospital medicine service.
• Admit patients and manage patient care during night shifts.
• Collaborate with a team of nocturnists and support staff.
• Possibly teach medical students and residents.

• $295,000+ starting salary,with increases based on experience
• Average of 12 shifts permonth
• Approximately 4–5 admissionsper shift

Schedule

• Weekdays: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• One daytime weekend shift:7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
