Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks an Academic Neuropathologist for a tenure-track/tenured, variable, or fixed-term position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, with an FTE of 0.5 FTE to 1.0 FTE.

The role involves diagnostic surgical neuropathology, autopsy neuropathology and ophthalmologic pathology, with a preference for a second subspecialty interest and active teaching across residents and students.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctorate degree.
• Board-certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology.
• Eligible to obtain a medical license in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic surgical neuropathology.
• Conduct autopsy neuropathology and ophthalmologic pathology.
• Possess a second area of interest in a sub-specialized surgical pathology service, autopsy, or research.
• Contribute to the teaching of residents, fellows, medical students and graduate students.
