Job summary

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks an Academic Cytopathologist for a tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We are a subspecialized Anatomic Pathology division, with preference for Cytopathology fellowship.

Responsibilities include teaching clinical residents and fellows, participating in tumor boards, and collaborating with the UNC Lineberger

Qualifications

• MD, DO or MD-equivalent degree.
• Board-certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology.
• Eligible to obtain a medical license in North Carolina.
• Sign-out experience and/or fellowship training in Cytopathology is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach clinical residents and fellows.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with a clinical care team.
• Collaborate with UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and other researchers.
• Contribute to education across School of Medicine, Graduate School and Undergraduate School.
