Albany Medical College in New York's Capital Region is seeking a full-time Academic Nephrologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to join the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. The role includes inpatient consults, teaching, renal transplant involvement, outpatient dialysis, and a robust CKD program.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in nephrology subspecialty care
• Strong commitment to medical education and mentorship
• Interest or experience in clinical research is highly desirable
• Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level
• Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State
• Dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consult and teaching services
• Participation in renal transplant services
• Outpatient hemodialysis patient care
• Hypertension referral clinic
• Comprehensive chronic kidney disease outpatient program
• Robust academic environment with opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows
• Opportunities to develop or participate in clinical and/or translational research
• Collaborative, multidisciplinary care model with APPs, nurses, and support staff
