Albany Medical College in New York's Capital Region seeks a full-time Academic Nephrologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to join the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. The role covers inpatient consults, renal transplant services, outpatient dialysis, and a robust CKD program, with teaching across medical students, residents, and fellows.

You should be MD/DO with Nephrology board certification or eligibility, and a strong commitment to education and research.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology.
• Clinical nephrology expertise.
• Strong commitment to medical education and mentorship.
• Interest or experience in clinical research is desirable.
• Eligibility for faculty appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor level.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.
• Dedication to patient-centered care across diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consult and teaching services.
• Participation in renal transplant services.
• Outpatient hemodialysis patient care.
• Hypertension referral clinic.
• Comprehensive chronic kidney disease outpatient program.
