Job summary

Texas A&M University Health Science Center's Medicine – Office Of Student Affairs seeks an Academic Navigator to advise MD students, manage records, develop advising materials and coordinate events. You will support advising policies, mentor staff, assist student organizations and coordinate for Academic Success Services; occasional travel and extended hours may be required.

Bachelor’s degree required; three years in higher education; Master’s degree and five years advising preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; three years of experience in higher education or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred; five years advising or related experience preferred.
  • Experience advising or coordinating for health professions education programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Graduate Student Advising: Advises MD students on program requirements and progress.
  • Graduate Advising Support: Develops materials, meets with students, coordinates resources.
  • Schedule and Registration Management: Manages registration, adds/drops, and degree tracking.

What we wantThe Graduate Academic Advisor III (Academic Navigator) advises MD students, manages student records, develops advising materials, and coordinates events. They assist in developing advising policies, evaluate practices, and mentor advising staff. May also advise student organizations and support program coordination for the Office of Academic Success.
