Job summary

The Major Gift Officer, Academic at UT Tyler, as partnered with Korn Ferry, leads frontline fundraising for multiple colleges and the School of Education. Reporting to the AVP for Advancement, you will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward six to seven-figure gifts that advance teaching, research, and student success.

You will partner with four deans, shape fundable priorities, and craft bold proposals that inspire transformational philanthropy across East Texas.

Qualifications

• Eight years of progressive fundraising or relationship management experience.
• Major gift experience strongly preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Partner with four deans to cast a vision for each college and identify transformational gift opportunities.
• Develop compelling case statements, proposals, and impact reports.
• Manage a portfolio of approximately 100 to 150 prospects and donors.
• Lead discovery and qualification to grow the pipeline of six figure prospects.
• Move academic giving toward major and transformational commitments.
• Cultivate corporate partnerships with employers who hire UT Tyler graduates.
• Build trusted relationships with community leaders, alumni, foundations, and volunteers.
