Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Thoracic Surgery by ABTS.
• Unrestricted Georgia medical licensure.
• Completed an accredited cardiothoracic surgery residency.
• Advanced training and experience in lung transplantation.
• Exemplary clinical judgment, technical skills, and patient-centered care.
• Strong interpersonal & teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to academic surgery through research and education.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of adult lung transplantation.
• Provide surgical management and clinical care for lung transplant patients.
• Participate in donor procurement and organ recovery activities.
• Share call responsibilities for lung transplantation.
• Collaborate with the transplant team to support program growth.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Support outreach and national program visibility.
