Job summary

State of Georgia seeks a Librarian to support the Southern Crescent Technical College community. You will catalog materials, manage circulation, and supervise interlibrary loan, while ensuring access to resources for staff, faculty, and students.

The role requires an MLS from an ALA-accredited program, strong cataloging skills, and experience with library systems and reference services in an academic setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Experience in cataloging and interlibrary loan is preferred.
• Academic library environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive media center supporting staff, faculty, and students.
• Catalog books and library materials per standard practices; process acquisitions records.
• Provide technical support for library software and system administration.
• Offer information and research assistance to patrons; maintain reference materials.
• Supervise circulation, interlibrary loan, and reporting of usage statistics.
• Develop and update policies, procedures, and goals for library operations.
