Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with Linux system operations and management.
• Experience writing/moderating system maintenance scripts.
• Understanding of system performance monitoring and user impact.
• Knowledge of computer security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provides front-line IT support for a diverse community across departments.
• Maintains Linux servers, storage subsystems, and hardware infrastructure.
• Administers IT services including user accounts, space allocation, and backups.
• Assists with hardware procurement and inventory management.
• Acts as local network/security point of contact and guides users on security practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
