Job summary

Stony Brook Southampton Hospital's Heart Institute seeks an outstanding interventional and consultative cardiologist to expand cardiovascular services on the East End of Long Island. The role blends leadership in patient care, program development, and access to advanced services.

The successful candidate will lead growth of general cardiology and interventional services, provide STEMI call coverage with a dedicated cath lab team, and balance outpatient and inpatient duties including

Qualifications

• MD/DO or MD/PhD (or foreign equivalent).
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
• Board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
• Excellence in clinical care and teaching in cardiology (inpatient and outpatient).
• U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Play a leading role in growth of a general cardiology practice and interventional service.
• Provide independent STEMI call coverage at a full-service community hospital with a dedicated cath lab team.
• Balance outpatient and inpatient cardiology clinical care; interpret echocardiograms, TEEs, and read cardiac imaging.
• Collaborate in a highly collegial, team-based environment; contribute to program development.
