Emory Healthcare invites applications for faculty positions in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, Emory University School of Medicine. Salary commensurate with experience and education.

The primary responsibility is attending physician coverage of inpatient and/or outpatient clinical services at Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital-Midtown, Emory St. Joseph's Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, and/or the Atlanta VA Medical Center.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Valid unrestricted medical license to practice in Georgia.
• Board eligible or board certified in Infectious Diseases preferred.
• Valid DEA certificate.
• Experience in outpatient medical practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Attend to inpatient and/or outpatient clinical services at Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital-Midtown, Emory St. Joseph's Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, and/or the Atlanta VA Medical Center.
• Supervise, evaluate and formally teach residents, medical students and Infectious Diseases fellows.
• Participate in on-call duties and actively participate in meetings and committees.
• Practice medicine within the current scope of national patient safety goals.
• Candidates with an interest in developing independent research programs are encouraged.
