Job summary

Albany Medical College's Department of Medicine seeks an Infectious Disease physician with an interest in academic medicine to join their team. The candidate should be board certified or board eligible in infectious disease and will receive an academic appointment commensurate with experience.

This is a full-time role in adult infectious disease, working inpatient consults with one half clinic day per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of infectious conditions and provide inpatient infectious disease consults
• Collaborate with hospital medicine, critical care, surgery, oncology, transplant, nephrology and emergency medicine teams
• Lend expertise to antimicrobial stewardship and clinical protocols
• Weekend call anticipated at 1:5
