Job summary

Albany Med Health System is seeking an Infectious Disease Physician with an interest in academic medicine to join their team. The successful candidate will be board certified or board eligible in infectious disease and will be given an academic appointment commensurate with experience.

This is a full-time role in adult infectious disease working inpatient consultation with one half clinic day per week. Responsibilities include hospital epidemiology interest, manage a broad range of infections,

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in infectious disease.
• Academic appointment commensurate with experience.
• Full-time role in adult infectious disease with inpatient consults and a half-day clinic weekly.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient infectious disease consultations with one half clinic day per week.
• Diagnose and manage sepsis, endocarditis, osteomyelitis, and other infections.
• Participate in Albany Med's Antibiotic Stewardship Program.
• Collaborate with hospital medicine, critical care, surgery, oncology, transplant, nephrology, and ED.
• Weekend call anticipated at 1:5 cadence.
