Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking a People Services Generalist to support BSD departments focusing on Academic Affairs and HR operations. You will manage the full lifecycle of faculty employment activities, onboarding and offboarding, and provide data-driven HR reports with confidentiality and discretion.

You will collaborate with leaders to foster employee engagement, maintain HR records, and assist with special projects and process improvements as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of work experience in a related HR role.
• Experience with HR systems and policy implementation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key resource on HR matters for BSD staff and departments.
• Generate reports on compliance and HR metrics using Workday.
• Coordinate work authorization efforts with international affairs and payroll.
• Support staff hiring including job descriptions, interviewing, and offers.
• Handle confidential HR information with discretion.
• Assist with employee training, engagement, and wellness programs.
