Job summary

Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix seeks BC/BE academic hospitalists to join our Division of Hospital Medicine in the heart of Phoenix. This role offers opportunities to mentor Internal Medicine and Med/Peds residents and medical students from the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix.

There is a potential 0.25 FTE leadership path as Associate Program Director for Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, and Scholarly Activity within the Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Academic hospitalist experience or 4th year Chief Resident preferred.
• Experience teaching Internal Medicine residents and medical students.
• Familiarity with quality improvement and patient safety is advised.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care as an academic hospitalist.
• Mentor residents and medical students in the division.
• Collaborate with the University of Arizona College of Medicine faculty.
• Engage in scholarly activity, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.
