The role involves inpatient rounds with residents and students, teaching lectures, and mentorship in a 7-on/7-off, 12-hour shift structure. Applicants must be board-certified in internal medicine, have 2 years of inpatient hospitalist experience post-residency, and hold an MD or DO license.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Join the Academic Section of Internal Medicine and be an integral part of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Joseph Medical Center!

Qualifying candidates will have 2 years' experience working as a hospitalist as well as experience teaching medical students and residents post training. Candidates must be board-certified in internal medicine. No new graduates considered.

Position Details

• Inpatient 7on/7off
• 12-hour shifts
• Shared equal call for all providers
• On call on average 1 in 4 weekends for inpatient rounding with house staff
• All candidates must be board certified in internal medicine
• All candidates must have 2 years' experience working inpatient medicine post residency
• Experience training medical students and residents post residency

Qualifications

• 3-5 years work experience in internal medicine inpatient care
• Current State Medical License – MD or DO
• Unrestricted Current DEA Registration
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Controlled Substance Certificate of Registration
• BLS (AHA or ARC) or ACLS (AHA or ARC) certification required
