Northwell Health's Department of Cardiology seeks a Fellowship-trained Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our team in a unique combined academic position spanning two premier Northwell campuses—Staten Island University Hospital and North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset.

The role offers opportunities for LVAD management and heart transplantation within a multidisciplinary heart team, with a focus on GDMT optimization, research, and teaching as part of an academic faculty appointment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist with Fellowship training in heart failure and transplant.
• Demonstrated expertise in GDMT optimization and complex hemodynamics.
• Experience coordinating advanced therapies (LVAD/transplant) within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care, education, and program building.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced heart failure care across all levels of disease complexity, including outpatient GDMT optimization and advanced surgical therapies such as LVAD implantation and heart transplantation.
• Coordinate advanced therapies (LVAD/transplant) within a multidisciplinary heart team.
• Engage in clinical research and teaching opportunities as part of an academic faculty appointment.
• Provide patient-centered care and contribute to program building and quality improvement initiatives.
