Job summary

District Medical Group Inc. (DMG) is seeking a full-time hand surgeon in the Phoenix, Arizona area with a strong emphasis on academics and trauma.

The role involves serving as faculty within the Department of Surgery and supporting the Hand Section Chief in building the clinical service line. The position includes teaching residents, providing inpatient and outpatient hand care, and on-call coverage, with collaboration with Valleywise Health’s Level 1 Trauma Center.

Qualifications

• Board certification and/or eligibility for Hand Surgery.
• Certificate in Added Qualifications for Hand (or Surgery of the Hand) required/preferred.
• Comfortable with a teamwork approach for patient management."

Responsibilities

• Faculty appointment in the Department of Surgery; assist Hand Section Chief in developing the clinical service line.
• Deliver traditional inpatient and outpatient hand services, including elective, urgent and emergent care.
• Teach residents and supervise rotations; provide on-call coverage for hand patients.
